A 1983 USAFA graduate, Brian Bishop, Maj Gen (ret) started his career as a T-37 first assignment instructor pilot and then transitioned to the F-16 where he was both and instructor pilot and evaluator. He has held staff positions at Headquarters Air Combat Command, Air Staff, the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, the Joint Staff, U.S. Forces Korea, United Nations Command and the Air Force Division, U.S. Military Training Mission in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Brian has commanded at all levels to include the USAF Air Demonstration Squadron, "Thunderbirds," the 8th Fighter Wing at Kunsan AB, Korea and the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing at Joint Base Balad, Iraq. During his 32-year career Brian served as Deputy Director, Legislative Liaison and Deputy Director, Politico-Military Affairs Western Hemisphere. Brian's career culminated when he served as Commandant Air War College and Commander, Carl A. Spaatz Center for Officer Education. Upon his retirement in 2015, Brian has worked for Northwestern Michigan College as an adjunct professor and Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Associate. Currently, Brian is the Vice President of Operations for Goulian Aerosports and Mike Goulian Aviation and the President of Brian T. Bishop & Associates, LLC.
